- Introducing e-working environments that empower information and communications technologies ( ICT ) within educational communities and support, facilitate, and automate both academic and administrative activities and services performed at all functional levels of institutes to maximize performance, improve the decision-making process, promote academic excellence, enhance productivity, and improve the quality of research
- Embed computing technologies and knowledge within institutes to improve quality of instruction and services
- Introduce soft computing areas on campus – for student relaxation
- Introduce state-of-the-art computing infrastructure and technology applications in the administration offices, academic laboratories and R&D centers
- Introduce smart computing facilities including smart interactive boards and smart class rooms integrated within a video conferencing system with content delivery – streaming, recording and e-repository - for online access and for distance education, teaching, and learning capabilities.
- Introduce access control technologies using smart cards – one card for all services - for controlled access to main gates, class rooms, labs, offices, and student dormitories; library check in/out; bookshop; car park; student smart lockers; cashless vending machines and more; all of which are integrated with the University management systems.
- Introduce Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology in people-less check in/out library and asset management system
- Introduce smart signage, maps, and path directions
- Management of technical manuals, textbooks, periodicals, and university publications
